So far so good! The side is kinda whatever but I really like the lighting in front and rear.
Please add "I like it" to the list of options. There's something about the side profile I'm just not loving. The back and front I like a lot. I really would like the sides to have more, I dunno, substance. I hope it's not slab sided. Does that make sense?
Call me crazy and old fashioned but I'd hope there'd be some type of pull-out side-view mirror that you could use in case of emergency where the camera stopped working. The only thing I don't like is that I wish the US version would be able to do away with the side mirrors and be able to have the cameras that are becoming standard in other markets. Some day US will step up in the 21st century.
I'm not an owner yet. But I always like having a backup just in case. I wonder when, one day, the entire front windshield will just be a computer screen. I just hope it's transparent in case I get the Windows black screen of death.Do you even use the mirrors currently? I always turn my blinker on, which activates the camera and I look at the dash prior to turning/lane changing. Other than that, I don't really use the side mirrors for anything....
That's funny! I hope it never comes to that. I'm a person that actually likes driving.I'm not an owner yet. But I always like having a backup just in case. Me too. I miss the days of the manual transmission. That's funny! I hope it never comes to that. I'm a person that actually likes driving.
For sure! Although I despised it one day when I lived in Fairfax, VA and there was a deadly accident on I-66. It took over 4 hours that evening to get home (normally it would take 35 minutes tops from Potomac, MD to Fairfax). My left foot/leg were literally trembling by the time I got home! That I don't miss, but I definitely miss the advantages of a manual when the road/track and vehicle can take advantage of it. Even though I can put my E55 in manual mode and it won't change gears without me pressing the shift buttons, nothing takes place of a manual in those instances. I have a friend who just got done converting his Ferrari F430 Spider from the F1 transmission to a 6 speed manual. That thing is a blast to drive!Me too. I miss the days of the manual transmission.
Oh, yeah, traffic jams are the worst with a manual. That I don't miss either. But they are so much fun to drive in most situations. It would be pretty nice to have the ability to use both manual and automatic when needed. I guess paddle shifters are the closest we'll ever get to that. For sure!
